<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Mets acquire El Duque from Arizona By HAL BOCK, AP Sports Writer NEW YORK (AP) -- The pitching-thin Mets acquired Orlando Hernandez from Arizona on Wednesday, welcoming El Duque back to New York and hoping he can help them now -- and maybe later, when even more is at stake. The Mets traded reliever Jorge Julio to the Diamondbacks for Hernandez. The deal was announced before the NL East leaders hosted Philadelphia.</div>www.sports.yahoo.com
The Mets are a dangerous team, he can easily provide 10 wins as he did with the Yankees. This was a great pickup for a questionable Mets rotation. The age seems to be catching with him but he can still pitch a good 6-7 innings.
Iffy trade. You never know what you're going to get with El Duque and Jorge Julio is a solid relief pitcher they gave up. But if Hernandez is on his game, this could end up being a very beneficial trade for the Mets.
Julio is a good relief pitcher, and can go in as a closer. Hernandez could be 46 years old. This year is a slow year for El Duque, as he is 2-4. I think Diamondback management did a better job here.
He isn't durable anymore since his age is catching up to him but he is reliable.Expect at least 8-10 wins from him this season and possibly even more.
