Who do you want to start in the '10-'11 season at C?

  1. Greg "old man" Oden

    79.8%
  2. Marcus "I am actually kind of old" Camby

    20.2%

Did I miss the notice that green font is to indicate sarcasm now? I'm glad we figured that out.

Of course Oden was coming off the bench through some of that and Roy looked awful and shot terribly. But Roy is beyond criticism as we all know.

Oden was setting up on the block a tad too often. But the Blake and Roy seemed to ignore him often.

Oden was sometimes clogging the lane by trying to set up on the block or getting rebounding position. He needs to learn to work with Roy and vice versa.

Roy needs to recognize that while it's his team, Oden is a critical component.

Hopefully, this won't be an issue next year. The fastest path to resolution is playing time together.

Or, a coach capable of designing an offense that incorporates more than one player at a time.

Just imagine how unstoppable Roy and Oden would be if they ever learn how to run the pick and roll. Hell, last year when Blake was starting, Oden would set the high pick, roll down the lane wide open and Blake would not get him the ball. Why, two reasons: it wasn't designed as a pick and roll, it was designed as a pick and pop to help get Blake open looks since he isn't great at creating for himself; Blake was so turnover averse (normally a good thing) he wouldn't even TRY to get the ball to the wide open rolling big man.

Shit, Roy's 10x the player Blake is. So, a Roy/Oden pick and roll has incredible potential. Will we ever see it with Nate as our coach?

I voted for Camby over Aldridge.

Yes, Roy and Oden pick and roll should be about 1/5th of our points every game. If only they figure it out.

Camby. The season of starter Oden would end before that of starter Camby, so start Camby.

Great logic. We should also start Rudy over Roy. That would solve two problems. Roy has also shown he's injury prone and breaks down when he's asked to play too many minutes and carry too much of a load. And, Rudy would no longer whine about wanting a bigger role on the team and be a huge distraction.

    Okay, you're at 53 and 9. That's even worse.

Well, of course. You're a Bulls fan. If I were a Bulls fan, I wouldn't want to see Oden get many minutes either.

That was really my point. You look back three years ago and you wouldn't even think about whether you would have started Camby over Oden (had we had Camby) since Oden was injured and you should have gone to jail had you made the wrong choice. Last year was like 19 vs. 63. Wouldn't have been a choice had we had Camby as Oden was now legal). Now we're at 29 and 73. It's a no-brainer.

Replace "Jessica Alba" with "Aileen Wournos", and the analogy might be more relevant.

She'd been dead for nearly 10 years. That's pretty sick man.
