How is Kidd overrated? He barely gets any attention nowadays. And he's still playing great basketball despite old age.

I don't understand how you can consider 3 of the best 5 players in the league overrated.

    Oh, nevermind. It's Charley Rosen.

A mixture of the obvious and the ridiculous.

One particular bit of foolishness: he calls Stan Van Gundy the most over-rated coach because his offense is predictable and he doesn't make adjustments on the fly.....but in another article, he calls Nate the most under-rated coach. Talking out of both sides of your mouth there Charley?

It's absurd that CP3 is on this list. When healthy he's easily the best PG in the League. Imagine how he'd be with better talent around him. IMO, he made David West into the player he is today.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Charley Rosen is a lot like MARIS61, in my opinion. He's less interested in the effectiveness of the player in terms of helping his team win games but rather some very specific aesthetic ideas about how players should be. His lists and analysis are therefore only particularly useful for himself. It's not that having aesthetic opinions is bad...but it's not something anyone else can work with, really.

Yes this appears to be the case. I do not appreciate his lack of supporting details as well.

Remember also that Rosen is buddies with (or at least, fawns over) Phil Jackson. So the hidden subtext of that list is "everybody but the Lakers are overrated".

rondo gets trashed just as much as he gets praised, though.
