They must be left out because they can't partake in bowl game... no way they wouldn't be ranked. But... wouldn't that hurt they rest of the pack 10 teams is they can't get a win over a ranked team (or they loss to unranked one)

Boise State ranked #5 preseason. Crazy days we are living in.

I hope the Beavs and Ducks have great seasons and it comes down to the Civil War again. It would be epic.

Ouch. The Beavs opening against #5 Boise and #7 TCU. I hope the Beavs are ready.

If they find a way to win both games, the Beavs will be right in National Championship talk. With the Rodgers brothers as the marquee attractions, they could make a lot of noise. The Civil War game will be huge again this year.

Its too bad that two of the Beavs toughest games are at the beginning of the season. Mike Riley coached teams ALWAYS suck at the beginning of the season.

If BSU played in a major conference, they'd lose 4-6 games per season. They're a paper tiger.

Exactly. Riley's Beavs always look like completely different teams between the first 4 games and the last 4 games. Unfortunately, because of that, I'm expecting to get smacked by Boise and TCU, and then come on strong by the end of the year.

Yes. Apparently, after game #2. That said, I would assume that the beginning points (i.e. right now) somehow enter into the ongoing equations. For that reason, I'm a big opponent of pre-season polls.

I think they've proven over the last several years that that program is decidedly NOT a paper tiger.
