Well they put me in a triple because there must be no more room. I'll get a chance to switch mid-year or possibly earlier if a room is freed up. For now I'm screwed.
Wow, fuck that. I would reply back and tell them to either get me a room with my friend or a room that can fit 3 people.
I got put in a triple (room was TINY, used to be a double I think it was about 12 x 12 feet) with two strangers and denied of rooming with a good friend when I went to college too. Worked out fine. If anything it'll help you meet more people and you won't be driven to insanity by being with your friend every minute of every day. Me and the roomies never had any problems as we had our own groups of friends we could hang out with and we were all reasonable people lol. Now I got a place off campus with my good friend and we each have our own room.
It's not a tragedy that I won't be able to room with my friend this semester since we'll be in the same building which is relatively small to begin with. The true problem is the size of the room. It's meant for 2 people not 3. I'm going to try getting first to the room. That way I can occupy the single bed instead of being stuck with one of the bunk beds. Outside of studying/dong work, I doubt I'll be in my room often anyway. I'm not a winter person, but even when the cold weather comes around, I'll probably being hanging out with some of the people I meet in there rooms or buildings.
Yeah I know. I can't stand the cold. I'll take 100F over -20F any day of the week. I'll call you about the dong sometime, Thrilla.
