After the ugly departures of Chris Bosh and Hedo Turkoglu, the Raptors are basically starting over with a roster more random than designed. Given the significant dollars tied up in the likes of Jose Calderon, Andrea Bargnani, Leandro Barbosa and Amir Johnson, don't expect a lot of defense -- or a lot of wins anytime soon, either.

    Predicted standings
    Miami 61
    Orlando 56
    Boston 51
    Chicago 50
    Atlanta 48
    Milwaukee 46
    Charlotte 39
    New York 37
    Washington 32
    Indiana 31
    Philadelphia 31
    Detroit 31
    Cleveland 31
    New Jersey 27
    Toronto 27

So espn is predicting raps to go 27-55 tied for dead last in the league with new jersey!
I am disgusted by their lack of knowledge and the fact that they have raps below detroit and new york (who might have Isiah thomas as their GM once again)

^ I don't think it is unfair to expect the difference between having and not having Bosh to be 13 games.

Also, Isiah is not being brought in as a GM but as a consultant, likely as a talent evaluator, which (admittedly) he is good at.

I don't foresee the Raptors being last in the East. There's definitely worse teams than us (Pistons, Cavs, Pacers, maybe Jersey), but we will definitely drop.

he has a great relationship with the team owner and just an update he wont be able to! too many GM complained and league blocked him thankfully!
anyways if he was brought in, he wouldev eventually become the GM again cuz of his connections!

    Re: ESPN RANKINGS

You lost your best player and the Knicks added one of the best PFs in the game. Why do you expect the Raptors to be better than the Knicks.

Isiah is also not a GM.

^ You can take that to the bank.

    Bargnani > Brook Lopez

DeMar , Sonny, Amir Johnson, Ed Davis, Kleiza, Barbosa, Dorsey, Alabi > Farmar, Favors, Humphries, Lee, Morrow, Outlaw, Ross, Terrence Williams

    Harris > Jack

^ I'm a huge Bargnani fan but in no way is he better than Brook Lopez. There aren't too many true centers left and he's one of the best in the East right now with huge upside.

lol cmon shake. Brook is much much better than Bargnani. Also, Demar in a year or two might be the #2 guy on this team, and a very good one at that. i STILL say this is the season the Raps lose and get either Perry Jones or Harrison Barnes. They'd be perfect for the Raps.
