Think about it. Dwyane Wade. only 2 inches smaller. Around same weight at that age. playing with shaq. only difference is flash got shaq in his old time and kobe had him in his prime. that's why you'll see dwayne develop quicker and shine faster. but look at it, they're on the road to a championship right here, like Kobe did with Shaq. I really see this similarity, even though I've never heard it mentioned before.
Exactly. I wasn't trying to see who's better. I was just saying their careers may end up resembling each other. w/e, debate this topic guys.
Your comparing Kobe and Wade...These type of threads are all over the NBA general board when they should go here.
Seeing Dwyane Wade play with Shaq kinda makes me feel old, because this guy is the young Kobe down to a T. Nowadays. Both get the bulk of their points off of slashing (tho Wade is a bit better), both fit like puzzle pieces with Shaq, both play good defense (tho young Kobe's much better), both have the spectacular finishes around the rim, both are clutch, and both have that determination that only Michael possessed.

I might be in the minority but if we count overall play I think Wade is better. Kobe is more explosive but he can easily go cold also. Wade is a constant with his slashing moves. He hardly ever settles for 3's. Wade is a better in every other part of the game and is underrated defensively imo.
No, bad comparison. Dwyane doesnt have the outside shooting Kobe does. Dwyane is the better attacker, better court vision and is less selfish with the basketball and alot more explosive. He's the most explosive guy in the NBA.

The lakers would not even be in the playoffs had kobe decided to be unselfish.edit: Wade is not as good of a defender than kobe. Kobe bryant can make any shot on the court, Dwayne wade can't.
Because being unselfish helps your teammates get into the game and helps keep them active in the offense. It gives them comfidence and when people are doubling you, if you pass it out it makes for easy points. You can still score 30 and be unselfish. Watch Lebron James.
I think Wade is already a much more active player than KB since he scores 25-32 pts a game and adds 6-7 asts/rebs a game. KB could never do this on a consistent basis.

His game is driving to the basket to either get fouled or finish strong. When Kobe drives to the basket, it leaves me in awe because i often ask myself how the hell he just did that. I will admit that Dwayne is a better driver but that is just because he does it more. Also, Kobe is a way better defender than flash. that is why he was voted first team all defense this year if u didnt remember. I dont see the resemblance really of the two players beyond the fact that they are both great and that they both have played beside the biggest beast in the history of the game.

Yes LeBron and Kobe only have 4 shots seperating them in comparable minutes, but when you watch them, LeBron takes better shots, passes whenever the opportunity presents itself, and passes out of double teams whenever he can. Kobe on the other hand, tries to shoot fadeaways away from the double teams, instead of passing. He forces it, and only passes if a teammate is hot.
True, kobe bryant used to take alot of stupid shots, he cut down on them in the last month and he shot 50% including the playoffs. And i don't blame kobe for not passing to his teamates, they were all in a funk. It got better in March and April.I remember kobe saying he had to shoulder the offense and when his teamates got it, he shot less. That happened in the playoffs [gameplan].

He scored 81 in one game and 62 in another, correct? If he was consistent, then common sense would dictate that he would at least have an average above 50, right? 35 is not above 50, it isn't even half of 81, and with games like those two I'd imagine it would throw the average off unless maybe he had a few bad games. Gee, I wonder if that is at all possible.
