Ex-Celtic Thibodeau settling in as Bulls coach

    This has been another busy week for ex-Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau, who was named the new head coach of the Chicago Bulls earlier this summer.

    Thibodeau is in town watching his new point guard, Bulls star Derrick Rose, compete with several of the NBA's elite players - including one of his former players, Rajon Rondo.

    "It's been terrific," Thibodeau told CSNNE.com. "You have two great young players. This experience is going to be great for them. They're both going to gain a lot of confidence from playing in this kind of atmosphere."

    For Thibodeau, this has been one of the more calm periods for him since becoming the Bulls' head coach.

    "It's been a whirlwind," chuckled Thibodeau.

    Shortly after the Celtics' disappointing loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in Game Seven of the NBA Finals, Thibodeau didn't have much time to commensurate with his Celtic comrades.
