Kobe Bryant goes 1-3 in the 2nd half of the Lakers-Suns game 7 series. He let his team down, He quit, ectLebron James goes 1-9 with ZERO assists in the 2nd half of the Cavs-Pistons game 7 series. He needs better teamates, We feel bad for him for losing, ectHow do you NOT feel bad for Kobe Bryant?
I dont know, everyone criticizes him for shooting too much then they criticize him for not shooting. I dont like this guy but I mean seriously you have to give him a break. For some reason everyone loves James and say that his teammates are bad but Kobe's team is as bad or worse. I think everyone should cut Kobe some slack for even leading the Lakers to the playoffs.
Personally, I hate Kobe Bryant more than anyone in the NBA. I don't see how you can criticize him for shooting to much, then not shooting enough. The guy is arguably one of the most amazing scorers ever. He can slash, he has great range, he can finish shots after the foul. He does everything. I dont see how you can criticize his game. As much as I hate both teams, the Lakers have the worse surrounding team around Kobe. LeBron has Illgauskas, Gooden, Hughes, Murray, Jones, etc. KoBE HAS Odom, Smush? lol okay..You can't feel bad for either if they have a bad shooting night. It was just an off night. You can whine about how bad the rest of their team is in the off-season, but during the season you should praise both for leading there decent teams to the playoffs.
I think Rich Bucher picked it up saying the media's hate on kobe is going too far.edit: i don't think Kobe really cares. The media has been on his back for a while now and he's just gotten better.
Because Kobe basically gave up in the last half. He only took 3 shots!!!! When you're the star player and your team is losing, you gotta atleast try to help your team score. Lebron's shot wasnt falling but atleast he tried. Kobe tries to blame the system on his 3 shots, but when you're losing and fading away, it doesnt matter what the goddamn system is, you gotta try to take control and get out there, dominate and score some points. Also, we love Lebron for making that a 7 game series. They really stepped it up when Larry's brother passed. Lebron played his heart out the whole series. The Lakers were up against a cold shooting, depth lacking, size lacking Suns team and they got lucky when Phoenix didnt make the open jumpers.

That same system took a 3-1 lead. That same system was one rebound away from the 2nd round. And Phil jackson told kobe that he's scoring was not going to work. Had kobe decided not to listen and continue shooting, he'd be called uncoachable . So either way, kobe's going to get criticised. So you love lebron for taking the pistons to 7 but you don't love the lakers taking the suns to a 7 game series? Consider that before the series we had never beaten a nash-lead suns. Phoenix got lucky? Are you stupid? We completly stopped their running, limited their transition baskets and limited their 3 pointers. Lamar Odom abused Shawn marion who some called the mvp of the league.Really , i cannot believe you posted that. You keep on proving to me that Laker haters actually do exist. It's disgusting.
I actually think both did a horrible job leading thier teams in the games. Both shouldnt have quit on thier team. They didn't show a good job of leadership.
It's not that Kobe was 1-3 that bugged people. It was that he was not aggressive and didn't look like he cared. He was not setting players up for good looks or anything in that second half.

Kobe bryant an phil jackson came to the decision that kobe's scoring did not work the game before and will not work this game also.mavsfan, honestly if kobe was agressive and abused the suns and they lost [the game couldn't be won with kobe's scoring] wouldn't he be called selfish? for quitting on the team plan and going into kobe mode?Kobe's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

He has to score some points and keep his team from extinction. You have to take over. Kobe didnt do that. He just watched his team lose he game, and he did nothing about it. You think thats justified because of a frickin' system? No one would call him uncoachable. There does come a time where you just have to score and not bother passing the ball. You just have to keep your team in the game by scoring points. There's a difference between the Detroit Pistons and the Phoenix Suns. First of all, the Suns are a bad defensive team, second of all, they lost all their interior defense in Kurt Thomas. Their was a wide open hole in the interior because of this, and also they were obviously cold those games, they didnt score that many points and their percentages were low. Detroit on the other hand is the best defensive team in the League, they doubled Lebron, what was he supposed to do with 2 great defensive players in Sheed and Prince checking him up the whole game? They are a great passing team, great balanced offense, they had the best record in the League, 4 All stars, a DPOY winner and an MVP candidate. Thanks, just thought Id clear that issue up.You did do a good defensive job on the Suns, but I remember that the Suns were just missing all their wide open jumpers. And if you can remember game 7...lets just say you didnt do a stellar defensive job in that game.
I really do not know what to say. In game 6, kobe bryant scores 50 and they lose. What was everyone's response? Kobe's selfish and ditched the team plan.Game 7, lakers get blown out and kobe passes "Kobe should've shot the ball more times than he did and should've been agressive".What does kobe have to do to be left alone? He did everything possible in game 6 to win and they lost. How is that selfish? Then in game 7, Phil jackson the greatest coach of all time decided the scoring will not do it.No one would call him uncoachable :HAHAHA: I rest my case. People called kobe selfish for scoring 81 on you're raptors.

I really hate it how other people get off easy, but Kobe gets hated for the same thing.LeBron had zero assists the second half. If Kobe did that you would definitely call him a selfish ballhog.LeBron went 1-9. If that happened to Kobe you'd be on him like dogs (you still are, and calling him selfish for listening to the coach and doing what he was told.)If Kobe wouldve taken shots and take the game in his own hands, he' be called a boll hog STILL and uncoachable along with that. Even though we all know the game was out of reach anyways.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>No one would call him uncoachable. And how long have you been followin the NBA, Kobe does anything wrong, and he is uncoachable. Now from your point of view If LeBron went 9-9 he still wouldnt win because Detroit's defence is too good. When the Cavs win, they are legendary, when they lose Detroit is way toog good. You said the same thing in the MJ double standard conversation. When will it be a universal judging, not biased or anything from you?
Kobe Bryant plays in Los Angeles, he's won titles, he's expected to play big...James is too but he's 21 and plays in a small market and was in his first playoff series...I understand what people are saying that James got off but your comparing apples to oranges in all honesty.

Deal with it...my lord I wish the Bucks had your problem..having the best player in the league being hated on...cry me a river.
That's a total oxymoron. Bucks with the best player in the league. And I was just saying. You mightve taken that as if I care so passionately about it. I don't. I just state the facts.
Kobe Bryant is arguably the best player in basketball, stop bitching about people hating him...who cares. I'm just tired of Lakers fans acting like little bitches...you've had dominating teams forever, shut up.
