TP doesn't know that this state doesn't get excited about bad republican candidates. The good ones (which Oregon hasn't had in a long time) can get the state behind them. Someone who has no experience in any form of politics, and basically hasn't said anything to hang his hat on, won't get a state behind him (yes, I know..."Obama did"). I'll put it this way, if Kitzhaber beats you in the election, you lost because you suck. Not because you're a R, but because you didn't have any credible stances. Good lord, Kizty sucks.
I agree Kitzhaber sucks, but it's unlikely there is a less-qualified person than Dudley to lead this state anywhere. Luckily, this will turn out like just another trip to the free throw line for the Big Dud. Goose eggs.
The way I see it is I know for sure Kitzhaber sucks and I don't want him again. I also know Dudley is a good guy and am willing to take a chance on him.
I'm sort of there with you. My problem is that this is governor and someone who could really fuck up the state. I don't like Kitz, but I don't think he will ruin the state. Not sure about Dudley. I really wish the republican party could of come up with someone else. Dudley feels a little gimmicky . . . but Kitz feels like more of the same, which wasn't that good. I'm torn right now.
