It only took LeBron James one month to transform from fan favorite to public enemy number one. Thirty-eight days ago James announced on ESPN that he would be joining the Miami Heat and ever since, his image has taken beating after beating.

Going into the offseason, it was clear that James couldn't make everyone happy. No matter what choice he made, there were going to be some unhappy teams and fans. But this was just supposed to be a minor speed bump. It would eventually blow over and nobody would stay upset.

Now, with his legacy in question and how he handled the situation being heavily criticized, it's starting to look like the damage may be more permanent than expected.

Between leading teams on until the final minutes, announcing the decision in an hour long television special, and deciding not to thank Cleveland in a newspaper ad he purchased, James has spent the last month in the headlines for the wrong reasons.

Days after he joined the Heat, players such as Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan shared their disapproval with his decision. Recently, Charles Barkley criticized James, saying that his actions have "disturbed" him before adding that his television special and the celebration the Miami Heat held shortly after were "punk moves." Barkley also predicted that James' decision could do serious damage to his legacy.

But it's not just his off-court decisions that are being questioned. Recently, Dennis Rodman chipped in and questioned James' skills and comparisons that he would be the Scottie Pippen to Dwyane Wade's Michael Jordan.

I'm happy he did this too. So all these whiners can get on their knees later on, and accept this dynasty.
