August 15, 2010 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California Sheamus (c) vs. Randy Orton Singles match for the WWE Championship WWE (John Cena, John Morrison, R-Truth, Bret Hart, Edge, Chris Jericho and TBA) vs The Nexus (Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, Darren Young, Skip Sheffield and Michael Tarver) 7-on-7 Elimination Tag Team Match Kane (c) vs. Rey Mysterio Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship The Big Show vs The Straight Edge Society (CM Punk, Joey Mercury and Luke Gallows) 3-on-1 Handicap Match Alicia Fox (c) vs Melina Singles Match for the WWE Divas Championship Dolph Ziggler (c) vs Kofi Kingston Singles Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Jericho and Edge have both apparently quit the 7 vs. 7 match, Khali could be his way out if the Nexus have their way. We'll see what happens though.
Well Edge and Jericho are back. Khali is out. Now it's just a matter of whether or not The Miz is in or out. (Hopefully out) Let's hope someone else comes in but I doubt it.
I'd love to see HHH come back, but I think he's going to be out until closer to the end of the year. I really hope The Miz doesn't join the team...I despise him. Maybe it'll be The Rock, haha. There's been a lot of rumors as him coming back as the Raw GM, so who knows, he could come back for one wrestling match before that happens.
The Rock vs. John Cena at WrestleMania would be the most epic match in World Wrestling Entertainment history.
Been a pretty bleh PPV so far, thank goodness for live streams on the interwebs so I don't have to pay for it, haha. The Nexus came out and beat the life out of Kofi in the Intercontinental Title match, so that ended in a no-decision. Melina won the Diva's Title back and Big Show beat down the SES. The Miz is flapping his gums now...
And The Miz joins Team WWE. Boo. I was really hoping for someone better, maybe seeing The Rock make an appearance.
Orton lost, as expected. Undertaker returned and we find out that Kane was the attacker, however Kane proceeded to hit the Tombstone Piledriver on the Taker. This will set things up for an interesting storyline though, and it's about time the Taker came back. Smackdown has been in dire need of their big ticket star. Oh yea, Kane won against Mysterio.
I think it'd make for a really interesting storyline if they do, so I'm quite curious as to what's going to happen.
Yup, agreed. The only other good match before this was Sheamus vs. Orton. And of course Taker making his comeback was good to see too.
Morrison is the first WWE guy to go, immediately followed by R-Truth, 5 vs 5 now. Sheffield with both eliminations.
