Mike Leach, the fired Texas Tech football coach last season, will be back in college football this fall — on TV.

Cable TV's CBS College Sports Network has hired Leach as a game analyst. He'll team with veteran announcer Roger Twibell, also joining the channel this fall.

Leach coached Texas Tech to ten consecutive bowl games before being fired after a controversy involved a player who is the son of ESPN/ABC announcer Craig James — and has an ongoing lawsuit against Texas Tech. (This season, ESPN/ABC will not use James on Texas Tech games or involve him in discussions of the school's team.)

Good for him. It will give him good practice at guarding his tongue and speaking a little more diplomatically so next time he has a job he won't lose it by speaking without giving it proper thought.
