It's great for us that Melo may move east. He of course is great. But as great as he is he and Billups could not get out of the first round against a beat up Utah team. At 34 I would still like to have him, but I would not give up a starter to get him. And since Denver has the option on his contract after this year, I am thinking an ending contract won't do it. So i guess we have to think about our first round draft picks as the incentive along with Bayless and Rudy. (along with Miller or Pryz)

anything that weakens a western conference team (and more importantly, strengthens an eastern conference team...but realistically won't put them over the top), I'm in favor of.

they would want cap clearance and young talent. starters are obviously off limits, but some kind of package of cap space (miler/pryz and youth..bayless/rudy). who knows.

Andre Miller worked for them before...
Miller, Joel and Bayless/Rudy for Billups and Balkman (who earns under $2M, but whom they don't use at all, and who has a three year contract).

    I'd trade Oden and Miller.

I'm willing to bet that Chauncey wants to end his career in Denver. He's already got a ring and he's from Denver.

Who cares about bringing in Billups or Melo to Portland. The key thing is if you take Melo out of Denver, that pretty much ensures a top 3 playoff seed in the West. No way OKC or Utah are up to Portland's regular season W/L caliber, so this means we get the top 3 by default of being by far the best W/L team in the NW division.

Come on Melo, stir up the pot a little, make our playoff run just that much easier.

I doubt Chauncey would want to end his career in Denver if it was 20 win teams....I think we're beginning to see the shift in power from the West back to east after a nice 10 year run of the west being the powerhouse.

    For Billups?

Denver, assuming they know they're losing Anthony, would take that trade running.

You've lost your marbles. Unfucking believable this site as of late. Oden is not garbage and certainly not something you trade with miller for an aging Pg. Craziness.

You think without Carmelo they're a 20 win team?

I find it difficult to believe that A) The Nuggets would trade back for Andre Miller with 4 or 5 years of additional wear and tear and B) that the Blazers would trade in one 35 year old point guard for another. I also find it hard to believe that Rich Cho is going to come swinging out of the gate and make his first trade as the Blazers GM for a stop-gap player to replace another stop-gap player.

I'd trade Oden for a six pack of PBR.

I could see the Blazers making the move because it gives them a pg that can hit the 3.

    Okay fine, 35 wins haha
