Amare Stoudamire will change his jersey number from 32 to 1. It will be nice to see him back on the court, number 32 or number 1.My opinion- Big men should have bigger numbers, like Shaq (32) and David Robinson (50), shorter players should have smaller numbers, like Steve Francis (3) and Gilbert Arenas (00) It just makes it easier. But, it's not my decision. Its the players choice, and 1 is a cool number.

I think he should adopt 99. That would be an awkward number, its unique, he could make it popular.#1 is supposed to be a # for a guard. I would never want #1 either. It would make me seem cocky.

Most people I know don't see it as being cocky if you wear #1. but most people i know do thing smaller numbers are for smaller players and bigger numbers are for bigger players. to me, it shouldn't matter. I like this idea for Amare. probably changing his number for a new start. but don't you have to wear a jersey number for 5 years or something to change it?
