We are referring to two different teams. The 2009-10 Celtics team is different from the 2010-11 Celtics team. Ray Allen at 34 is different from Ray Allen at age 35. KG at 34 is different from KG at 35. Pierce at 33 is different from Pierce at 34.

Of course they're different just like every other player in the league. All I'm saying is young = no titles in this league. Simple as that. It's been proven time after time.

Barring any injuries and unless LeBron and his team fucking go nuts during playoffs, you'll see LA - Boston in Finals. Quote me on it.

But a player who is 25 turning 26 is much different from a player who is 35 turning 36. So although teams get older, the effects of getting older are felt more in a player's mid 30s.

Young might = no titles, but what about average in age?

It's semantics, really. These guys were a healthy Perkins away from winning it all, just a few months ago. You think they are all of a sudden going to decline to the point of being "too old"? That's confusing, at the very least. If you want to say that they aren't going to win because you think Miami became better than them, fine. But they aren't going to become "too old" less than one year after proving themselves as an equal to the top team in the league.

I agree. I hate the Celtics with everything I got, but I also respect them, they scared us to death last year in the Finals and

I actually listed many reasons why the Celtics might not be the best team in the East. I said they are getting older, they have shown signs of being injury-prone, and the East has gotten a lot more competitive.

I guess it boils down to semantics then. For me, "too old" can mean being more injury-prone and being less likely to recover quickly from it. The health of the "big three" is very relevant to their success and players like Garnett, for example, have shown signs of breaking down and being less effective.

I don't know why we Laker fans are calling Boston old when we are have the oldest team in the league. I could care less though because veteran teams win titles not young teams.
