It seems like everytime he touches the ball he makes a bad pass or decision, for me it takes something REALLY bad for it to stand out and he does. Anyone else agree or is it just lately?

I've had mixed feelings about him. At times he makes that great play, then sometimes a stupid play happens, and it really stands out.

He makes some mistakes but he is a very good player so sometimes it really doesen't matter. He's a great bench player.

Come on...he was once a VERY good player but a VERY big ballhog who never shot well...if he wasn't shooting the ball he didn't do very much.

To answer this topic, more then the average NBA player, um at times. He's been in the league 10 years now, so he knows some things young guys don't. But then also makes dumb mistakes. He still has ability to contribute, so it doesn't bother me this year like it is to some fans. I mean you should know what your getting with Stack, when you do then just accept it.

He made several bad passes, that got stolen early in the fourth quarter today...but he can be of great help most of the time...but he shouldn't be a starter, at all.He should be a bench player, and shouldn't get starter minutes at all.

Remember, Stackhouse gave up a starting position on some other team for a chance to contend with Dallas as a Sixth Man. I think that's a pretty class act.

Him and MJ were never a good combo, they had no chemistry between each other in 2002-2003. The next year, 2003-2004, he was injured most of the year and thats where his numbers started to decrease. I kind of miss not having Devin Harris (5th pick we traded for Jamison) on this team if we had selected him, but we're much better off with Jamison anyways.

I don't know about stupid, but he is not a smart basketball player. I'm not taking anything away from Stackhouses talent, he is a very talented basketball player, that at any time can go off for 30 points. The problem is that he does make some very dumb passes, takes questionable shots at critical points in the game, and doesn't seem to have a good shot selection at many times of the game. Half of being a smart player is knowing what kind of pass to make, as well as when to make that pass. If a player is right in front of you, a bounce pass around him is the answer, and i have watched Stackhouse try to do a chest pass with players in front of him that get picked off. I am not going to say he is stupid, but he is not one of the smarter basketball players.

When he was being used as a main option, his teams were always under-achieving. Every team he left got better after he left when he was scoring over 20 pts a game. Happened in Philly, Detroit, and Washington. In Dallas though I like how he's being used, he is a good bench player or a good starter that isn't out there to score as many points as possible. I think his role in Dallas is a good one, if he's in a good matchup where he can burn someone one on one all night, he can do it. That's pretty much his game and it can be effective, just not every night.

Let's think of allthe reasons mavsfan hates Stack. JK, JK [IMG]...uh...well...Stack DOES make mistakes, but he's instant offense. That's the final word.

I guess I know what I'm talking about since someone else made this thread. Stackhouse has made some of the stupidest offensive decisions I've ever seen in the 12 years I've watched basketball. He wouldn't be playing if he didn't benefit us in some way. Still don't trust him when it counts.

Hey, who had the 20-foot jumper against the Celtics? Don't you remember that?

I bet if he didn't throw that free throw off the backboard in the San Antonio game, this thread wouldn't of been made.
