The Indian golfer hit six successive birdies to take the lead in the first round at the Prosper Golf Resort and finished on six under par and a card of 66. Kapur hit birdies from the second right through to the seventh hole and as the finished the first round it looked like he would hit a very low score. The back nine started with two bogeys in a row which he countered with birdies on the 16th and 18th to finish on 66.
