Let's assume that Sharpton wasn't holding a huge march to commemorate the famous speech, but pushing his new book or rallying around a new political underground movement. It would just be selfish and show a lack of class to hold the gathering at Gettysburg on the date of the Gettysburg address. I know it's a crappy analogy because although the speech is famous, Gettysburg isn't as popular as the Lincoln Memorial but I can't think of a good analogy. It's not the time or place to hold that rally.

Nazis have the right to march in Skokie if they have a permit, so why shouldn't Beck be allowed to do his thing since he has a permit? No matter what Beck actually does on that day in D.C., he's proving the hypocrisy is rather stunning. Those who argue for the mosque near the WTC grounds are arguing against Beck's right, which is similarly based. Those except for me, that is.
