I didn't see this posted already in the other thread about LMA, so here it is: http://blog.oregonlive.com/blazers/2010/08/audio_trail_blazers_assistant_1.html he talks about about what they are working on in his game.
it all sounds good. I've expressed hopes that he'd add to his off the dribble game as defenders usually play up on him, so I'm really pleased thats been his focus this offseason. Hopefully it will pay off. Bayno's revelation that LA skipped team USA this summer to be around for the birth of his first child is just another indication of what a bunch of negative know nothings we have here... http://sportstwo.com/threads/164668-LA-not-playing-for-Team-USA?highlight=lamarcus STOMP
Have you ever been around a pregnant woman before? Supporting her through the ups and many downs is the right thing for the guy to do... especially if it's their first. Beyond that, your criticism of him not working hard in the offseason in that thread was shot down in flames by Bayno. It also bears mention that the previous summer he did work out with team USA which blows holes in your previous rant about him only wanting to work out by himself in the offseason. STOMP
Oh it was shot down in flames by Bayno! Oooooh that gives me shivers! I'll tell you what. When the player starts actually backing up the talk, then the possibility I am wrong will be there. But so far through 3 years we haven't seen jack dick for improvement from Aldridge. So I won't lose any night sleeping about that any time soon. By the way, other players who had kids were there. Its only a couple of weeks out of the summer. Also I would point out is that NBA players are not like you and I. They are gone from home 3/4 of the year and that is part of the job. So really you experience with a woman and having a kid, really doesn't matter here. NBA players skimp their home life at the expense of basktball their whole career.
I don't think anyone loses any sleep over your thoughts, especially when your point seems a moving target. LA doesn't work out in the summer, doesn't work hard, doesn't work out with Team USA, only works out by himself... and when they're shot down by facts or someone who actually knows whats what you just reload and fire some more blind potshots. Is your main point is to cry that LA isn't the goat and you have to suffer rooting for someone who is only a quality player? You'll have to excuse me for not knowing which other team USA players had their first kid this summer... if I were making millions of dollars a year, I'd probably have several homes... I'd imagine most NBA players do. Thanks for the reminder that NBA players lives are not like yours and mine, so often I get carried away and forget STOMP
Speak for yourself! I happen to be a 6'10" multi-millionaire. So... when they actually have a CHOICE, y'think they might actually WANT to stay home? Or is it more your idea of a young black man that's clouding the picture?
We men can't take a month off. I took one day off and that was because I'd been up all night while she slept. I assume you have a job and a boss who fires lazy employees. (And not some cushy government job with expensive benefits.)
No, it takes a whole life to have a kid. He should enjoy the birth of his first child since he was lucky and the timing worked out that it was in the offseason. Pro athletes miss a bunch of family time so they have the right to stay home if they chose as long as they still work out and work on their game at that time which he did. By the way, the whole skipping team usa for having a child was talked about at least a couple of weeks ago
