    they want expiring contracts and young players....miller pryz bayless rudy? maybe somebody else? cunningham maybe?

    Here's a trade I can't check on Trade Machine (because it doesn't work for me):

    Portland gets: Chauncey
    Portland gives up: Miller, Rudy, Bayless, Pendergraph

    Denver gets: Gerald Wallace, Bayless, Rudy, Pendy, Dampier (=$13M in cap space, because his contract is not guaranteed)
    Denver gives: Melo and Billups

    Charlotte gives: Dampier, Gerald Wallace
    Charlotte gets: Dre Miller (Larry Brown's PG, finally), Melo

    Charlotte can throw in DJ Augustin if Denver wants (but they already have Lawson) and of course picks and money and rights to foreign players can be included.

    (Charlotte has actually been mentioned as a possible Anthony destination, partly because of Dampier, but also because Melo is Brand Jordan. But I can't imagine LaLa - or whatever Tellytubby Melo is married to - would like it.)
