The UFC has done a good job of bringing Jones along. He is a very young fighter who seems willing to take his time getting to a title shot. Even with a win over Bader/Nogueira he will still likely have to beat a former champion before getting his shot--someone of the pedigree of Quinton Jackson, Lyoto Machida, or Randy Couture. Dana White said he was a year away from his turn which likely means two to three fights .Recently it was revealed that a fight between him and Rashad Evans will never happen as the two are training partners.

I had a meeting with Dana and Lorenzo and that's kind of where were going with it. They didn't really say two fights. They said you know, you beat the winner of Bader/Lil' Nog, we'll give you one more fight.
