I respect the hell out of fire fighters..... but wow. There's no reason for those guys to get paid that much. I can almost guarantee that the actual guys fighting the fires aren't making near that much money.

Seriously. WTF. This can't be right. I am currently in search of a part time job while I go to grad school, and am not finding anyone paying more than 35-40k for entry level people in a pretty high tech field. Add that to the crazy high competition (for even the shittiest jobs) and the 16K college loans I still have to pay in the next two years, I'm kinda rethinking my decision.
I keep telling Republicans--If you want to cut government spending, you will get more support by cutting salaries, not programs.
