Oh, don't be so hard on yourself.

True. Although I'd point out that most of those people don't identify so much with the practice of those things. And also that many of them wouldn't want to be identified with the tea partiers.

Sure they are. That's why the tea parties got started during the Bush administration. Because the movement is so principled and all.

I'm only belittling those people who are idiots. If you aren't an idiot, it doesn't apply to you.

You've made a lot of stupid, insipid and worthless posts on this site, but this one was the weakest I can remember.

BTW, I laugh at the idea that you're in any position to belittle "idiots".

Indeed, that is pretty impressive. And there really is no sign of the economy improving soon.

But then, 1994 didn't exactly destroy the Democratic party, did it?

Dems have had a couple of good elections; Repubs are due. Let's party like it's 1994.

Recovery summer. Too little too late.

The U.S. economy has shed jobs for three straight months, though the losses in August were about half the 110,000 predicted by economists in a Dow Jones Newswires survey.

The unemployment rate, calculated using a separate household survey, edged up to 9.6%, as expected, after holding at 9.5% for previous two months.

It's really bad when his N PR firm slams the situation.

'Recovery Summer' Ends With Economic Pothole

    Whatever happened to recovery summer?

This was supposed to be the season the economy heated up, thanks to a wave of public works projects, funded by the government's stimulus program. But summer is coming to an end, and the recovery has not taken root. (The Labor Department on Friday reported a slight rise in the unemployment rate to 9.6 percent in August as more people were looking for work.)

And before long, stimulus dollars will be fading like autumn leaves.

None of that is encouraging for President Obama, who launched the summer with a crew in hard hats in Columbus, Ohio, on June 18.
