Ouch for Chicago. I don't think Chicago is going to be a good team, but at least a bit better than Detroit. Unless the Bears' offensive line completely collapses...which is possible.
No, my argument sucks because someone could just say "So by your logic the real music is the music that brings in the most cash?"
Might be the toughest division in the NFL this year, and I think the Lions are going to take the next step. I loved what I saw from them in the preseason. Stafford looks like the real deal. It will be a close fight for last place in the division, but I think the Lions squeak it out.
I can't really argue much. But, a couple things. Denver will finish ahead of Oakland and the Saints will make it to the Superbowl again.
I like some of these offseason pickups that Detroit made. I think they could surprise people, especially if Stafford lives up to expectation.
I really like Detroit's snagging of Jahvid Best. I think he's going to be a really electric back. I think the Lions' offense should be quite respectable, even dangerous. But their defense is still going to be awful. Suh isn't enough to turn that around. I think they're still a year or two away (largely on the defensive end) from .500, which is where I see the Bears.
I could see Cutler having a really good year, and I say that because I hate him and I want him to fail and fade to obscurity. I don't usually get what I want.
They also picked up Vanden Bosch, Corey Williams, Lawrence Jackson and a good CB that I can't recall right now, as well as Suh. They also picked up Nate Burleson, who is a solid # 2 next to Calvin Johnson (who I think is a top 5 reciever if he had a proven QB). They aren't going to be a playoff team or anything, but I think they have the potential to win about 7 or 8 games.
Yup. They got some really good additions on the defensive (as well as Burleson) end to put them near .500. At this point, this time hedges on Stafford and his development. If he quickly becomes a 3000 yard QB, then this team has a shot at 9-7. But a safe bet would be 7 wins for this season. But hey, it's better than my Browns.
