so training camp starts this month and i think this the least excited ive ever been for the start of the season in the 15 year history of the team. maybe its because i have so many other things going on my life right now but this year has no "feel", in fact, this might be the most disastrous off season in raptor history. we lost our star player; trades were rescinded in the last hour and signings were botched.
There aren't any new players to be excited about (although Kleiza has been playing pretty well in FIBA). If we had gotten Chandler, i would def be feeling differently/ We had a different big name player every offseason to raise our hopes, only to disappoint later. I think its good that we don't have high expectations for this team because if they do well, its a pleasant surprise. And if they do bad, it means a good draft pick!
i agree with ilmago, but im excited to see DeRozan, Weems, and Amir, for the first time since the arrival of BC the team has players that have chemistry with eachother
Part of their training camp is being held at my university, so that's kinda cool, but other than that I don't really feel excited about this season either. The Young Gunz could be exciting but the Raps are probably a ~30 win team.
it's at UBC. The camp is suppose to be closed to the public but I am gonna try to make it to the intrasquad game and hopefully get some good pictures.
