The New York Yankees lost to the Toronto Blue Jays by a score of 7-3. Phil Hughes got the loss.

For most of the season Phil, you’ve been great but we’re talking about today. A day us Yankee fans would like to forget. Six earned runs on seven hits is not what we look forward to when we watch you pitch. I mean, we won the other two games and you couldn’t win? Toronto barely has a .500 record. You better get your head out of your butt for the playoffs.

Disgraceful Player of the Game: Phil Hughes

How dare you. How dare you sir. You were supposed to pitch like Phil Franchise but instead pitched like a Franchise blogger. You should go on tv and give a televised apology to the fans of New York and New Jersey and tell every one that you are sorry for stinking it up. You should be absolutely ashamed of yourself. The way you pitched was shameful. Not only was the way you pitched today a disgrace, but a nightmare.

Again...it's the regular season. The kid has never played a full season and he's starting to wear down. It happens, who cares. We're going to make the playoffs, that's all that matters.

He's pitched like a franchise pitcher for most of the season. Hell, he was the goddamn ace of the staff for the first 2 months of the season. Give him a break. If he sucks ass in the postseason, that's a different story, but the young man has been damn good for most all the season, so why chastise now?
