Ah, then "leave it". That said, if Portland (I said "if") is expecting a high first-round pick for Rudy, then anything I've ever read about Pritchard overvaluing his players goes double for the new front office.

You're right, Camby wasn't nearly the rebounder that Anthony has been in his first two years (per minute)

Hahn is less reputable than the poster you were initially responding to who said Cho made the decision.

    Got it! My bad.

prior to Portland trading Sheed they'd suffered a ton of injuries to key players and muddled around sub-500... a McInnis & Stoudamire backcourt tandem somehow wasn't getting it done to the point that Derrick Anderson (a limited but legit 2 guard) coming back was a godsend. Darius Miles also came back just prior to Sheed's departure which allowed them to move part time starters QWoods or DDavis to the background. With a semblance of an NBA lineup during Wallace's last 10 games as a Blazer they went 8-2 and were 23-26 overall. The club featured Wallace Zach Miles Anderson and Stoudamire as their starters and was kicking butt. Post trade the team was relatively healthy from there on out and finished 41-41.

To say they were better as a team because of the Wallace trade is just wrong as it ignores the big picture of who else was missing. It's amazing to me that some still won't acknowledge how horrible that trade was for both team chemistry and overall talent. Managment passed up much better opportunities... it's like some choose to ignore facts to create the reality they want to see or maybe to not admit how wrong they were back in the day.

I'd contend in this case with Rudy that there is little urgency for the Blazers to make a move. He's on a very cheap contract, the roster is stacked without him, and his agent has promised he won't be showing up to play for Portland so he won't be around to pout about his role. If anyone thinks that any NBA team doesn't constantly deal with players being upset with their roles and minutes they are naive.

Best to wait for a real opportunity to improve the club then do anything rash. I'd imagine they have several end of the 1st round type offers they could cash in at any time... so why not shoot for something better? It would disappoint me if Cho settled for something so meh in exchange for a young legit rotation player
