I'd be very surprised if the Bulls make another move before the trading deadline at earliest unless something really unexpected and favorably lopsided comes around. That is not a criticism. Given the market its the smart way to go.
I doubt we get Rudy. Blazers want a high draft pick. They won't get that. Ya, with our assets and a little cap space, we could be in line for a nice trade!
The Blazers? I agree. I think they are holding out for a better deal that is going to turn out to be a worse deal, if anything.
Whilst I think the Blazers and Team Rude Boy have made a clusterfuck of Rude Boy's value ....outside of their incompetence , fundamentally , I think Rude Boy is a proven top 7 rotational player , and depending on the team - a likely starter in the league. Wanting a pick better than say early to late 20's is not so jaw droppingly shocking The problem that you have with the pick is that there are no guarantees as to what you are getting yet you are locked into cost. I can therefore see the merit in wanting a player of comparable value , both in terms of current cost , and , with what they have already proven in the league The issue everyone seems to have on all boards is that they are confusing fucked management for fucked talent - which sure has an impact on perceived value But if you seperate yourself from not buying what you can't steal ( where you'll rarely ever do a deal ) then it just makes perfect sense for Portland just to hold on to him if they can't get fair market value back for him and ride out his contract rather than take on further salary without knowing what you're getting ,and where as a late 20's pick, its more likely to ne a lesser talent for more salary commitment than Rude Boy .
