The furror over Michael Heisley's interview with Chris Vernon is beginning to calm down and there has been plenty written on what Michael Heisley said wrong duing the interview. This blog isn't going to address that issue.

However not much has been written about what Heisley should have been saying.

There are a lot of positive things happening around the Grizzlies team right now and there are plenty of reasons to be excited about this team. Unfortunately those issues didn't come up in the interview and not because Vernon didn't give Heisley every opportunity to make the points. Heisley just got caught up in the emotion of the interview and lost focuse on the message he should have been presenting.

So with respect to Chris Vernon, here is my take on what should have been said in the interview. I will address the questions that could be answered. Obviously follow up questions on his answers won't be addressed if no longer appropriate.
