It would be really cool, even though some people couldnt bear another Lebron article. Or maybe, it could just be a ball or something. We'll see if they have an MJ/Lebron cover.

Don't pass a torch, just them posing together I could stand it a little more.
I don't know about the MJ passing torch to LeBron. It is too early to say that he is the next Jordan. I like the Wilt holding up 100 idea though, it fits it perfectly.
I like the Jordan to Lebron idea, but would like to see multiple people on the cover. maybe a group of the older statesmen from the 80s (Jordan, Magic, Barkley, Bird) on one side and a group of the younger guys (LeBron, Amare, Wade, Paul etc).
Wilt is dead so how you expect them to do that?I like Milgods' idea, older guys passing to the new guys of the game.

Lebron is 21 and look at what he is doing. Unless he dies or something of course he will be atleast top 5 all time when it is said and done. Especially because he played in this era with less dominance over other guys.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (LakersFan247 @ May 30 2006, 10:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>hmm...lol i say Kobe with his 24 jerseythat would be awsomebut i like the mj torch to Lebron as well</div> :bat: :bat: :bat: I knew we would see a Kobe bandwagoner in this thread Just kidding buddy But seriously, it aint happenin'<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Heatfan32 @ May 30 2006, 10:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Wilt is dead so how you expect them to do that?I like Milgods' idea, older guys passing to the new guys of the game.</div>I think it would be people from the 90's though. With all the new technology they could make Wilt's picture a lot bigger and still make it look good. That would be a great idea for the 100th issue

Yea, LeBron could be just as good if not better than MJ, but you never know.
Better than Jordan? I never tried to suggest that. I just think it would be cool. It would symbolize the greatest player passing a torch to Lebron. meaning that Lebron will be the next great player.
Lebron and Wade on one side and MJ and Magic Johnson on the other. And make it say like, The past to the present or something....
So far, I think SLAM has only focused on putting current players (players in the SLAM era) on their cover. So I think that would exclude Wilt. (no offense to him, he's a great player but I don't see a cover in the near future) Instead I see either legendary players like MJ or Magic Johnson on it or the future of the NBA (Lebron, Wade, Melo) being on the cover.
I would like to see Nash Getting Teabagged by Kobe. The newsagents stopped selling Slam, now I dunno where to get it
I'm not a big fan of the whole Michael passing a torch to LeBron idea, because so many people who subscribe SLAM magazines will get annoyed by all the hype SLAM is giving LeBron and everyone will just be sick of it. Who cares if Wilt wasnt in the SLAM era? Does he have to be? Besides, he was one of the premier big men in the league and made a big impact on the basketball world with his '100' pts. Besides, it will look nice him holding a sign saying '100' while its on SLAM's 100th issue.
They cant really make an article on him though. It is almost impossible to see any tapes of Wilt, and also most of the people like his coaches, fellow players and himself are dead lol.
