Mine is medium where I live. Everybody likes to play basketball, but most people just do it for fun. But I am going to go to the best high school in the state at basketball and I am on their Freshman team, so I am sure the level of play will be upped a bit.

I wouldn't know about the basketball there since I was only 9 and hadn't really started playing at that point.

I live in Winnipeg. That's all that has to really be said. There are no gifted black basketball players, the only I see suck. The best we got is asian kids, and if they are tall asian kids they suck. The odd white guy is good, but it's still very rare. The community centre I go to is pretty good though. They are actually people I can pass to and be confident in a score.
I'm from the Boston area, we have pretty competitive high schools and leagues. The interest in basketball in Boston was once amazing but due to the sox/pats resurgence basketball has been put on the back burner in terms of overall popularity against other sports. A decent amount of talented basketball players have come out of massachusetts.
