Read it and weep. "Without further adieu"...? Jesus Christ. Somebody tape this to Greg's locker. Hell, somebody tape it to CAMBY's locker.
I just can't get too riled up about some HCP wanna be posting on hoopsworld. It's like reading a middle school's newspaper. Sure, it's not that bad (compared to one from an elementary school), but it's still crap.
are you aware of the difference between saying "he is a wannabe HCP" and "he is a wannabe, like HCP"?
I can see posting this on Camby's locker being a good idea because it might actually fire him up but I'm afraid that if they put it on Greg's it would hurt his feelings and cause him to crumple ... let's take it easy on the poor lad.
I wonder if they even evaluated Oden with how few games he played. Also, that is offensive-minded stats, not defense which is Oden's forte. Give Oden time and health and he will eventually be on that list for sure.
Yep, and the evil moron only rated Roy 3rd among SGs. Clearly, he has a vendetta against the Blazers.
Yao is healthy for training camp, and he's actually proven that he is an elite player over entire seasons. Plus, Yao clowned Oden in the playoffs, so he should be in "honorable mention" over Oden.
Well until Greg actually does something of note, he doesn't deserve to be on that list. So whats the big whoop?
I remember that series pretty well... I remember the refs calling a foul on Greg everytime he touched Yao. He definatly got outplayed by Yao/pryz that series but the fouls the refs called on pryz/greg when they tried to stop Yao was pretty funny.
It's a pretty dumb article. How is Yao not higher center on that list? I know he's coming off an injury, but really he's so much more dominant than the other guys on the list. If you want to argue he's injured too much, well, Bynum has missed 96 games over the past four seasons to Yao's 114. The interesting thing to me is that of the four guys I consider the best per-minute centers in the game, three of them (Yao, Oden, Bynum) have ridiculous injury histories. It's a position that's naturally a little injury prone, but jesus. I don't remember it being like this in the 1990's hayday when we had all those really good centers.
