AP Top 25 * 1.Alabama (47) * 2.Ohio St. (4) * 3.Boise St. (8) * 4.TCU * 5.Texas (1) * 6.Nebraska * 7.Oregon * 8.Florida * 9.Iowa * 10.Oklahoma I'd say it's fairly accurate but out of all the teams listed, Oregon, Iowa and Oklahoma need a few games and or improvement before proving they belong in the top 10. Thoughts??
Florida. They lost what, half their team, AND they looked like shit last week against a team that they should have been able to dismantle. I'm also not sure about Nebraska being that high, but I don't know a whole lot about them other than they lost the best defensive player in football to the draft. I'm perfectly fine with Iowa being there. They return basically every skill position on offense and their entire defensive line, their starting safeties and a couple LBs. They're going to be good and will threaten OSU for the Big 10 title.
I guess it depends on who else might deserve top 10, right? Oregon is a bit untested (especially at QB) but they have so much depth at their skill positions and their defense seems to be solid. I think they deserve top 10... in fact, I think that every team there has a pretty strong case. Another way of asking this is: which team deserves to be in the top 10 that's not? Ed O.
That's a tough question this early. You're right, in order to say one doesn't belong, another must replace it. I do like the Liberty Flames. Can an AA school be ranked?
