Two games into the season, and No. 13 Virginia Tech can already forget the national championship talk that prevailed throughout their preseason camp.

These Hokies can't even beat an FBS powerhouse, losing 21-16 to James Madison on Saturday. It was their second consecutive performance dominated not by a powerhouse offense, a stout defense or game-changing special teams, but by mistakes, missed tackles and disappointment.

Wow. A shocker! Boise State has to be disappointed that not a single top 25 team is currently scheduled...

this has to take the luster out of Boise State and their quest for the championship game.

It is really interesting how it impacts BSU more than Va Tech. The Hokies can still get a BCS bid by winning their conference, right?

College football is sort of twisted.

Were the JMU fans more excited than VaTech fans were disappointed? Or vice-versa?

Tech fans were way more disappointed than JMU fans were excited. JMU fans basically just rubbed it in.

I still have a couple of Tech fans bitching about it on my Twitter.

Boise can still get a BCS game by whipping the patsies remaining on their schedule too. Va Tech could go 0-12, and it wouldn't prevent Boise from getting to a BCS game.
