    San Francisco Giants outfielder Andres Torres had an appendectomy Sunday and is expected to be out for 10 to 14 days.

    Huge blow to the club but with the depth we've added over the course of the season I think we can weather this. Ross needs to play over Rowand though. Rowand is a complete and utter zero at the plate.
