    Anyone play it?

    I hear it's rather popular around these parts. A number of (free) courses. Stuff like that.

    Sounds fun.

    Course = for disc golf.

    Field = for ultimate frisbee

    Seems like a decent amount of people play both. I just do ultimate though.

    We used to play ultimate frisbee with the mini Aerobie in Autzen stadium when I was in college. Lots of running by a total blast! With the full size Aerobie in Autzen once you got it tuned you could play catch end zone to end zone. It's weird to throw that thing 100 yards+.

    Speaking of Autzen I heard they removed the hump and now the field is completely flat. On TV or in the stands it was hard to see how high the mound was.

    Yes, meant disc golf. My upstairs neighbor plays it. The other day, he was carrying a number of discs with him. Had a "driver" disc, a "putter" disc, etc. :lol:

    They finally put in a proper drainage system a few years ago and got rid of the crown. I hated playing on crowned fields, and throwing out patterns was an adjustment if your home field was flat. It's hard to convince yourself that you should throw at a guy's hips.

    Ultimate Frisbee is fun. My buddies twisted the rules a bit, and we are able to hit people. Little more aggressive.

    Why you gotta make fun of my favorite sport to play. Take a look at his driver and putter next time, and you'll see a difference. or try throwing them. That's like saying yao ming could play pg and mugsy bogues could play center.

    Yeah, I disc golf occasionally. It's a nice way to spend a couple hours outdoors, and a lot cheaper than regular golf. As they say, don't knock it 'til you've tried it.

    We have a team at work that plays ultimate in the summer at lunch a few times a week. Lot of running! I play soccer too but ultimate is even more sprinting.

    Also played frisbie golf which is pretty fun too.

    I played both Frisbee Golf and Ultimate Frisbee many times during my college days. Very fun.

    Ultimate and disc golf are in the "things I did baked in college" Top Ten. Throw in hackey sack and you have 3 events in the Stoner Decathalon.

    I haven't played disc golf in years, but I notice a few state parks now have courses, such as Champoeg. I may have to dig up my old discs and give it a shot.

    I think the stoner decathlon is smoking a blunt, then eating a large cheese pizza, and then watching an episode of Chappelle show (without laughing outloud, if you do laugh you have to start over and watch a new episode).
