I think it would be interesting to see what everyone believes is the perfect team.I'm going to write out the starting line/coachCenter: Wilt Chamberlain. Chamberlain has the size advantage, he's the go to guy when you need him to get to the hoop and score, and you can't say he can't score. Chamberlain has hte natural athleticism (Averaged 37 points as a rookie), is clutch, and is defenses greatest fear.Forwards: Michael Jordan/Larry Bird I don't think there are many people out there who would disagree with this. Michael Jordan, the most amazing bball player of all time, and Larry Bird who never second guessed his shot and had so much confidence he was a huge force force on the court.Guards: Allen Iverson/Magic Johnson Every team needs a player who can hustle. That spot is and always will be owned by AI, AI never stops until he can't move, every team needs someone like that. As for Magic Johnson, every team needs a leader, and when it comes to leadership off and on the court Magic Johnson covers that spot. Plus who could forget that beautiful skyy hook.Sixth Man: LeBron James I know some of you will insult my basketball IQ over this and this will cause controversy but let me explain myself. Everyone knows how much potential LeBron has. He is already one of the greatest players in the league now, imagine his future. LeBron is an all around great player, he leads his team to victories, and can "get it done". Every team needs young talent, do you guys actually believe in 50 yeards that people like Jerry West won't be outshined by something greater? Well he is the future of bball, not the future Michael Jordan, but the future of how we look at the NBA. Coach: Phil Jackson Coaching Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen is NO EASY TASK with their abilities and talents, they need to stay motivated, and Phil Jackson did this. Without Phil, I'm sure MJ would have still been an amazing player, but would he have been this motivated? Motivated enough to have great games when sick? And most important of all about Phil Jackson is that he still hasn't lost his touch, he's still coaching, the Lakers now, even though after Shaq left and they started relying on Kobe, they took a huge blow but they are bouncing back.Let's hear your lists, and your rants about my list!
Allen Iverson ahead of John Stockton or Magic????Anyway, heres mineC-Wilt. The dude averaged 50 points a game one season. He scored 100 1 game. He was so dominate. Words can cot even express. He towered over everyone and put in easy buckets, got like 25 rebounds per, and a ton of blocks (even though they didnt record em back then). He was the most dominate player ever, so I had to put him on here.PF-Karl Malone-The Mailman. This guy owned the paint, he was so good inside. He had a great inside game, tough defender (He made the offensive players mad), and a very good rebounder. Not really that much at PF but he fits the spot. If it weren't for MJ he and Stockton would have won some titles for sure.SF-Larry Bird-He is probably the best shooter in NBA history. He had to smoothest stroke you will EVER see. He was also a great rebounder, great passer and great leader. He led his Celts to I think 3 titles? Anyway, he was really good so I put him on.SG-Michael Jordan-Do I even need to explain myself? This guy is a basketball gift from the heavens, no one ever attacked the rim with so much fierce, no one ever led a team like this guy did, he had the most heart outta anyone, he was really athletic, lockdown defender, dominate scorer, good rebounder, strong, agile, good passer, good shooter (mid range). What couldnt he do?PG-Magic Johnson-I dont think anyone has kept track of how many triple doubles this guy had. He revolutionized the pg position. He was the best passer ever, he found looks that for other people would be impossible to find, he set his whole team up, he led his team to titles, not the best defensive player, but it doesnt matter, he was so effective offensively, and because of his height he was also a great rebounder.Bench: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar-Not everyone remembers the sky hook, but man, if you have seen it on tapes you would be very impressed. This guy was a DOMINATE post player, no one could stop him when he got inside, no one. He was a great rebounder, had great hands, blocked shots. He led the Lak's to championships. He is your dream center. And GArenas, I know Lebron can be great, but he hasnt done anything so far to even be mentioned. He will probably take over Bird's spot as SF when his career is over, but come on, he has played a total of 3 seasons, and has yet to go past the 2nd round. It is total disrespect to the other greats to put Lebron on the bench right now.
No, it's the perfect team, as in it must have factors of a team as in a leader, and people who work well together as teammates and every team needs to worry about it's future.
Worry about its future? What do you mean? All the players but 1 on our lists are either retired or dead.
If i'm trying to win a basketball game, I'd take this team in a heartbeat. And a lot of you are going to be surprised, a Bulls fan not picking Jordan? Jordan is a great player, can definately win you some games but i'm looking for team aspect.PG-Gary PaytonObviously some people are going to expect me to pick him, but he was a great player. A very good leader, one of the best man defenders i've ever seen in his prime.(How many PGs can shut out Barkley?)And a very good scorer, although not the greatest shot selection, his penetration makes him a good pick.SG-Sidney MoncriefNow here comes a questionable pick, everyone is going to take Michael Jordan but if you want to see a good team player, watch this guy. This guy was Gary Payton, before Gary Payton. I would really like to see the two in the same backcourt. If Payton isnt the best man defender to play the game, then this guy definately is.SF-Scottie PippenNo Jordan, but I had to take his sidekick. I'm looking for more of a point-forward here, and considering I think the SF is the most essential part of a great defense im going to start here(for anyone who doesnt believe SF is valuable, find me a championship team in the last 15 years without a good defender at SF) Also I like the penetrating style of the young pip, reminding me of the 80s offense, so he seems like a good pick.PF-Tim DuncanI repeatedly bash Duncan, and in that you usually dont get to hear how much of a good player I think he is, despite not being ''the best''I always thought his defense was overrated, and ''lazy'', but he does body up well, and until recent years, was great at boxing out. Along with great Post moves.C- Artis GilmoreMany of you dont know who this guy is, but he's probably the most efficent player to ever play the game, and one of the bulls 1st franchise players. He was a great rebounder and defender, and lead a mediocre team very far. And if he hadnt been traded, we'd have probably never gotten Michael Jordan a few years down the road from then. With this team I have no doubt, they would win a championship in the modern NBA. Probably the greatest defense with a team aspect there is, along with a lot of inside scoring.
PG - John Stockton SG - Michael Jordan SF - Scottie Pippen PF - Tim Duncan PC - Shaquille O'Neal Can't go wrong there...doubt they would lose a game. :happy0144:

I'm saying that all these players on my line are in their prime's and Lebron James is at where he is today. Get my logic?
Point Guard- Magic JohnsonShooting Guard- Michael JordanSmall Forward- Kevin GarnettPower Forward- Tim DuncanCenter- Bill RussellI think the perfect team would be one that dominates the boards and creates mismatches on the court, in their favor. KG at small forward is absoluetly sick. Bill Russell is a defensive beast. Duncan knows how to win. Michael Jordan is Michael Jordan, the greatest of all time. Magic is the glue that keeps the team together.Coach: Phil JacksonSixth Man: John Stockton
