that only comes up when guys are cancers and can manipulate the minds of teammates. i don't think that fits rudy. sure he doesn't want to be here but just cutting him is pointless and worthless.
Saying he won't show up to camp unless he's traded and moping on the bench like he did last year is being a cancer. Hell, during the playoffs Roy was injured and it was his opportunity to prove his worth, he looked like shit jacking up 3's and doing nothing else.
Let Rudy go. We are at 16 players anyways with him on the roster. Let the new guys gain experience. I'm sick of Rudy's attitude towards this year and him lacking to talk to Nate on his role on this team. i think Rudy wants his 25+ min per game and its not going to happen under Nate's system.
Aw, crap. Greg has a cold? What if it's one of those antibiotic resistant strains? Greg probably won't ever play again. /Eore Go Blazers
I've just read there's tension between the Hawks and Jamal Crawford because they don't want to offer him the extension he wants. I believe a trade of Rudy+Joel for Jamal Crawford could be good for both teams. Crawford had a much better season than Rudy last year but if the Hawks can't keep him, a trade that would bring back a younger, cheaper scoring 2-guard with tons of potential in Rudy and a very servicable big man, who can really fill a need for them when healthy and has expiring contract in Joel wouldn't make their team much worse, it could even be an upgrade. For us, it gives our 2nd unit a new look. Current look: Bayless, Rudy, Mathewss, Pryzbilla (when healthy), Camby with Dante and Johnson as 11th and 12th. New, hypothetical, look: Bayless, Crawford, Mathewss, Dante, Camby with Babbitt, Johnson and Pendergraph in some order as the 11th to 13th players. If we make this trade, we can also keep Patty Mills, if anyone cares.
No, just commenting on general trend to over-react to everything. How many "Paul Allen dying" comments have there been on this board?
It is a good idea, and I would be on board this move. I just see one problem. I don't see the Blazers interested in paying Crawford what he wants either. He just came off a career year, and wants to be paid as if he will throw up those nubmers every year of the contract. It is a gamble. And after the Blazers overpaid for Matthews and still have to pay Batum and Oden, the salary structure would be getting out of whack. Matthews, Crawford and Camby all bench players on big deals. But, if Paul Allen wants to pay the money, and the team sees a Crawford/Roy backcourt as doable to close games, I won't complain.
Yeah we discussed this a while back when the reports first surfaced that Crawford was unhappy. I love the idea, but like Masbee said, it's hard to say if the Blazers would be willing to pay him what he wants either. Maybe Big Spender Paul is more willing these days...
Trade him for Avery Bradley because we can never have enough young pgs of the future that aren't very good!
