Williams himself confirmed 48" in an interview. He said he did it at one of his workouts (LA comes to mind?), not at the pre draft combine......If that helps?
Folks can argue stats all they want. Everybody knows what Jack was really known for. He was a player who put out good effort but would make mindnumblingly bad plays especially when the game was on the line. I find it hard to believe that Williams will match him in that regard.
You mean Williams plays where? Williams is the guy that probably has to earn playing time here, not Mathews. IMO Williams will probably be competing with Jerryd more for playing time than Mathews.
Having heard/read countless players inflating their measurables only to come up well short according to the pre-draft measuring tape, I'd rather see an actual measurement then take a player at their word. I can recall Portland's website touting supposed Outlaw's 48" vert... interesting how he didn't go to his pre-draft either STOMP
He's in camp right now, so a reporter should ask McMillan to have his jump measured this week. I'm sure the team would like it verified, too. If he can drive and leap, he can out-Bayless Bayless.
You all have a chance to see in 16 days at the JamFest! The dunks in the warmup drills of past events have been the best part!
"Never seen him play." That pretty well sums it up, doesn't it? Another toy that looked cool in the package....but when you take it out, it is already broken.
How inaccurate? They drafted him knowing he had a pre-existing knee injury. (why do you think he missed summer league?)
I think you are directing this to the wrong person. BGrantFan is the one who seems to be questioning whether he was injured before the draft.
...and we didn't draft DeJuan Blair with one of our 5 second round picks because he had "knee problems". Nicolas Batum fell in our laps late in the first round because he had "heart" problems. Drafting isn't an exact science.
