So I snapped a few pictures trying to capture meteors during last month's meteor shower. Two pictures were taken 30 seconds apart @10 second shutter speed and have this weird object moving from the top left to the lower right part of the sky, in the two photos. All of the other meteors were moving east to west, where this looks like it's moving from the west to east. But what's really odd is that it appears to be the same object 30 seconds apart, so it can't be a meteor...right? Maybe it's a satellite?
It's a plane or helicopter with flashing red and white lights. IIRC if it's a military helicopter (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, it's been almost 20 years since I lived on an Army air base), the red light's on the tail and the white light's on the nose. Really frickin' cool pictures. How about posting some meteor pics?
It's much tougher to do than some might think. I have a cousin who has a real knack for capturing lightning pics, but he lives in Kansas so it's not like there's any terrain in the way, lol...
Yup. I was outside for probably an hour and I saw 3. The chances of getting one on film were very small.
He is horrible. Everyone once in a while Art will host on a Friday or Saturday night but Norie has ruined that show.
Pretty much. He had a place in the middle of nowhere out in Nevada. Yup. That show died after Art left. Of course, Art pretty much died after his wife passed away. Even though I've never met the guy in real life, I really felt his loss when she died from an asthma attack. I listened to him every night when I worked graveyard, and I could tell he truly loved her.
I kinda thought the same thing but it was a little creepy when he got married so soon afterward to that 18yrs Philippine girl.
Two things I'll always remember about driving with my dad as a kid, were listening to Art Bell and Paul Harvey.
