James DeGale has revealed George Groves will be receiving a contract to fight him on Monday, and then the Olympic champion will go searching for a world title bout. DeGale destroyed Carl Dilks in the first round at the LG Arena on Saturday, despite pre-fight speculation that Dilks would provide a good test for the 24-year-old. After the stoppage, DeGale instantly discussed the prospect of fighting Groves, stating: "I want to fight again as soon as I can and December 11 sounds great to me - as long as Groves is in the opposite corner. He has been shooting off his mouth but let's see now if he wants to do his talking in the ring with me coming at him."
