By Tim Britton / MLB.com BALTIMORE -- Ty Wigginton's double to the gap in right-center drove in Luke Scott with the winning run to lift the Orioles to a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over the Yankees in 11 innings on Sunday at Camden Yards. Scott had led the inning off with a bloop double to left off David Robertson. The Orioles had rallied to tie the game two innings earlier on a Scott solo home run off Mariano Rivera, and Mike Gonzalez induced a critical double play from Lance Berkman to escape a jam in the top of the 11th. Rivera's fourth blown save of the season cost Andy Pettitte a victory in his first start in two months. Pettitte offered everything the Yankees could have hoped for in his return, holding the Orioles to a run on three hits in six terrific innings. From the onset, all eyes were on Pettitte, who hadn't started a game since July 18 because of a strained left groin. He had a bit of a rocky opening in the first inning, going 3-0 on his first two hitters and giving up a run on a two-out bunt single from Adam Jones. Pettitte got stronger as the game progressed, though, allowing only one more hit the rest of the way. No Orioles batter reached second base against him after the first. Working on a limit of 80-85 pitches, Pettitte was still able to complete six innings. Of the three singles he allowed, only Brian Roberts' leadoff line drive in the first reached the outfield. He retired the last 11 batters he faced, leaving with 79 pitches. The Yankees didn't collect too many hits of their own, but they got on the board early anyway against O's starter Chris Tillman. Tillman walked six batters in his 3 2/3 innings, including four in the fourth inning. He issued a free pass on four pitches to Brett Gardner to force in a run in the fourth, ending his day. The Yankees weren't able to completely cash in on those opportunities, however, stranding the bases loaded in the fourth and 11th and leaving two runners on in the sixth and ninth.
