The newer versions of the "fat" ones are significantly better as well. The Jasper chipset (which is in the most recent fatties) greatly reduced the number of Red Rings. Personally, I never turn the unit off immediately after playing. The fans shut off when the system does thus trapping all of the hot air in the unit which leads to a greater likelihood of overheating. Overheating of course leads to RROD.
The fans won't shut off until the unit does. I usually just leave it on the dashboard for 20-30 mins to be sure all of the air inside has been moved out. If I'm leaving or going to bed or something I just leave it on and I have the auto-shutoff selected so it will turn itself off after 6 hours.
to quote HCP...can you say that again, but this time in English? (as in, what you said..what does it mean?)
Bought the Reach Xbox bundle. HAd my cousin who works at Wal Mart and gets 10% off get it. That made it $360, then I can sell Reach for over $50 on Ebay. Then I figure I can piece together my refurbished xbox with the hard drive with some games, on craigslist and get another $100 out of it, from what they are going on ebay for.
lol jerk. Actually it was within the first half hour of it being used for the first time in like 2 days
So its as simple as buying a 4g Next Gen 360 and just swapping the hard drives? Or do I have to buy the 250g Next Gen 360 and the data transfer cable in order to get the data off the old hard drive onto the new 360?
Oh, you're talking about the smaller ones? I'm not sure. I bought the Elite and put my old harddrive from the original 360 into the slot and it fit perfectly. I don't know if it will be the same for the slim 360's.
Yes, I'm asking about the new slim next gen 360. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Microso...nect/1219686.p?id=1218237046870&skuId=1219686
