I'm glad I didn't get one. My phone is just as useful.

I love it; been writing my novel on it, believe it or not. Its surprisingly useful with a bluetooth keyboard, like a laptop you can take only part of with you if you wanted.

I never would have guessed you're a writer from reading your posts on here.

Just kidding. You need a ride Friday or not?

LOL! Yeah, my grammar's pretty atrocious when I'm posting on the ree-ree forums. :D

Actually, I think I'll be okay; I found a bus route that works both from home (SE) and work (Tigard), so I'm good to go. I might need a lift home though if it goes too late :D

    Thanks man!

I've found the word processors severely lacking. Are you using "pages"? Mobile Me integration is horrendous. if they fixed that, I might consider buying one for myself....might be good for surfing the net.....for typing, I'd rather just bring a laptop or a netbook. I can use bluetooth keyboard with my phone too...

I've actually been looking into picking up one used. However the secondary market on these is still a bit high. Apparently they make a very nice universal remote using a program called I-rule. I just can't see paying 500 for one.

I'll check it out. honestly I don't even know if I'd use one if I got one for free. They are too heavy to use as a "pad" type device. we have one at work, I played around with it and it wasn't that good. Id rather browse on my phone.

The iPad really started becoming most useful and enjoyable to me after about a week. My pithy upper body strength improved, and the browsing experience really started to feel vastly superior to the iPhone experience. But really, if it's not for you, it's not for you.

Good to see you were never serious about the iPad in the first place. :D

Nah, I was thinking about it. I use a macbook and macs at work, the mobile me integration would be good.

I use a droid as a phone though, I really like the droid's flexibility. It'd be great in a larger format. they do the same things essentially.

downloaded the update. Mobile me is still slow as fuck when you try to download docs. I have multiple folders and thousands on file and you can order them by date, just by name. no search either. fucking lame

Might I recommend a laptop? Sounds like you're trying to climb a mountain in a Mazda.
