If we're going to criticize Oden, then we should be fair: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...Bynum-had-a-relaxing-offseason?urn=nba-271833
You didn't quote the linked article: "Andrew Bynum’s Rehabbing His Knee at the Playboy Mansion" http://larrybrownsports.com/basketball/andrew-bynums-rehabbing-knee-playboy-mansion-party/6215
Why do we have to consider Andrew Bynum if we're going to criticize Oden? Last time I checked, they are different people.
Why do we have to consider Kevin Durant if we're going to criticize Oden? Last time I checked, they are different people.
#1. Bynum wasn't in the same draft as Oden, AND he wasn't a number one pick. He was picked tenth. #2. Durant was selected immediately after Oden, therefor the two players will always be mentioned when talking about Oden until Oden wins a championship or starts playing like an All-Star. Why wouldn't people consider Bynum when they criticize Oden though? We had to consider Bynum when we were thinking Oden was going to be one of the best young bigs in the league his rookie year.
With Greg being in his 4th year any critiques of him playing basketball will be fair as long as they aren't flat out lies.
I'm not sure fans are being critical of Oden... I think people are disappointed. We want to see him play and we want to see him dominate. I am critical of the front office for the selection. I'm critical of the lack of information regarding what should have been a speedy rehab. One other thought, it's not necessary critical of Oden to admire Durant either.
People knocking them out of the park in this thread. So sick of the negativity around here. Go Blazers...ALL Blazers!
Keep in mind we could have also ended up with Adam Morrison and Tyrus Thomas instead of Roy and LA. Let's not focus on the negatives here.
Well let's talk about Michael Jordan then. Man that motherfucker who didn't take Jordan. And fuck Clyde for not getting a ring that piece of shit. Yeah, lets live in the past instead of rooting for our current squad as assembled right now good call. Of course I won't dwell on Roy's health issues, I will instead hope that they aren't a problem and try not to think about them too much. Instead I will focus on what he brings in games where he's healthy instead of complaining about the Phoenix series where he was hurt. Criticism of effort is cool, criticism of injuries is just fucking lame and kicking someone when they are down.
