"Mattias Tedenby was nervous. "A little bit in the beginning," he said. After making his preseason debut for the Devils Thursday night against the Rangers, he gave himself a poor grade. "Not that good. I can play better," Tedenby said. "But it was the first game. It will be good to help me develop my game. Now I've played that and now I know I can play out there. I'm looking forward to look forward." Coach John MacLean said of Tedenby: "He had some flashes out there. He has that tremendous speed. He forces them to make decisions." He had hoped to play his first preseason game alongside fellow Swede Jacob Josefson. That didn't happen because Josefson was injured in the morning skate and did not make the trip to New York. "He was injured. It's not that bad. I think he's back tomorrow," Tedenby said. Tedenby skated with Brian Rolston and Adam Mair. Goalie Jeff Frazee played his first NHL preseason game. He replaced Martin Brodeur at the start of the third period and also was in net for overtime." http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2010/09/mattias_tedenby_disappointed_w.html
