Zucker should have been fired for cancelling "My Name is Earl" alone, and long ago.

Which brings me to this new TV season. Quite a few new shows, and all but two are crap so far. A third (the new Shatner sitcom) is OK.

Which two? Boardwalk Empire, and The Event.

Anyone seen a good new TV show this season?

I don't think network TV is worth watching at all

The Event was bad, Shit My Dad Says was bad, Outsourced was awful. Undercovers was supposed to be good, still need to catch it. Not a lot of promising new shows.

I found Outsourced to be cliched and a bit offensive. The Office is on its last breaths. The BBT had a hilarious opener. Rest of it was just blah. Even Modern Family was weak, I thought.

Yeah, I don't think I found myself laughing at Modern Family even once. That show usually cracks me up, for a season premiere that was really weak.

Not sure is many people watch Fringe, but I think it is one of the best shows on television. Boardwalk Empire was pretty good. Apparently they spent over $20m for just the pilot.

Otoh, I'm glad that Apprentice is back to its normal format. The Celebs thing was getting old, and this new gimmick with unemployed contestants is pretty cool. (just sucks that the cutest contestant was fired in the first week, but it's promising)

Fringe, like all major sci-fi related shows, will never get the love it truly deserves. The majority of people these days like their basic week to week formula cop/lawyer/medicine show. God forbid they try following anything with intricate storylines that flow throughout the season.

My name is Earl lost it's funniness after the writers strike ended. Then it got stupid.

The only good sitcom shows are How I met your mother, Big Bang, The Office, Modern Family and Family Guy, American Dad and Cleveland show.

The rest of them are boring.

I did not watch Fringe yet, but last season was fantastic.

The best show on TV, however, is Rubicon on AMC. It's fantastic.

I usually watch stuff like Intervention, Locked Up Abroad, No Reservations w/ Anthony Bourdain, Jeopardy and sometimes Modern Family. Otherwise its all sports all the time.

    Most sitcoms suck these days.

Fringe is AWESOME. The season premiere was just ok, but it was an Olivia heavy episode.

Modern Family's season premiere was more cute than anything. Not really hilarious, but the show can often make it hard for me to breathe it can be so funny.

I watched the premiere of @#$# My Dad Says and expect it to be cancelled soon. Shatner was funny when you could understand what he says, but the son and the Mad TV rejects just make it unwatchable.
