I think Katz will be a good QB. He has an absolute CANNON for an arm. My biggest issue with him in this game is that he's holding on to the ball way too long. Probably trying to avoid the big mistake. He's going to have to let it fly eventually. But, the Beavs are only down one TD right now, so no need to panic.
What a horrible play by the corner. Come on. You have to stick with the play. You just can't make those kind of mistakes.
I think it's kinda the opposite. He's holding onto the ball trying to find the big play each time. In some sense, I like the mentality of wanting to get the ball down the field, pick up chunks of yardage. But sometimes you just have to dump it off, especially with such good running backs.
Ugh. I was really hoping you Beavers would win this game, but it's not looking good. And did he seriously just miss a 20 something yard field goal? Wow.
Then it's kind of both. If he's only looking for the big play down field, but unwilling to pull the trigger, then he's also afraid of making the big mistake. I do agree with you, he should be looking to check it down more often. Especially with Quizz lurking about.
I'm not going to lie... I hate BSU. I don't like their arrogance. I don't think they belong in the BCS discussion. I think the NCAA should make them change their stupid blue field.
Agreed on all counts. Beavs are getting some SWEET calls from the refs on this drive. Two personal foul calls on Boise when the beavs fail to convert on 3rd down. Neither call I thought was warranted. I'll take it.
The first one seemed warranted, if trash talk is against the rules. The second one seemed imagined. And how is Boise State arrogant? Just curious, not agreeing or disagreeing.
You know what I've NEVER liked? And this is in the NFL as well.... I HATE when the official waits to throw the flag until AFTER the receiver complains. If it's a penalty, call the damn penalty... but don't wait until after the WR complains to throw the flag.
That does happen alot. I'm not sure if it's as much the WR complaining that draws the flag, or if the refs are collaborating on the call. It probably happens both ways.
I'm glad special teams got that ball so Riley didn't look even worse for not challenging that Wheaton catch.
