On Friday, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao was taken to a local hospital after complaining of foot pain while working out at the Florde Gym, according to news from Abs-cbn news. Pacquiao had an MRI done along with blood tests to try and figure out what the problem is. The results were inconclusive. The doctor couldn’t find anything wrong with Pacquiao other than some swelling. It could be that the way that Pacquiao has a habit of jumping around when fighting might have caused a lot of stress on feet. At 31, Pacquiao is beginning to show signs of aging. It isn’t helped that he’s spending a lot of his free time running around in his political job. Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach had this to say about it: “It’s not an injury we’ve never had before. We’ll try to get it out of the way as soon as possible. We know how to deal with it. It’s just a little pull probably. But he moved pretty well today. He beat the sh** out of me. He [Pacquiao] got me winded.” Read more: http://www.boxingnews24.com/2010/09/pacquiao-taken-to-hospital-for-foot-pain/
